Special Assistant to the Governor Of Delta State on Youth Development, Amb.Onyedikachi Micheal Odogwu has sounded a clarion call to organizations, communities, and stakeholders to prioritize sports development as a panacea for youth empowerment.Receiving the Chairman of Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State, Dr. Chibueze Oforbike, and his entourage at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Ambassador Odogwu praised the local Government Chairman for his giant development strides,while emphasizing the transformative power of sports in shaping the future of Nigerian youths.”The Governor of Delta State His Excellency *Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff F. O Oborevwori* , through his visionary M.O.R.E Agenda, has demonstrated and sustained unwavering commitment to harnessing the potential of sports for youth development,” Ambassador Odogwu noted. “The outstanding performance of Team Delta on continental and international platforms is a testament to this.”Dr. Oforbike, who led the Aguata Local Government Football Academy and other sports enthusiasts on a Familiarization tour praised Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori the Governor of Delta State for his foresight and the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for his unflinching support.The highlight of the meeting was a thrilling meet-and-greet session, where Ambassador Odogwu introduced members of his talent academy, seeking more collaboration with the mayor and the visiting team showcasing their skills in a series of friendly matches.As the nation grapples with the challenges of youth development, Ambassador Odogwu’s rallying cry underscores the critical role of sports in empowering young Nigerians to become active participants in the nation’s growth and development.
