Delta North Grassroots Assembly has congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his emergence as Governor of the Year 2025 by the Leadership Newspapers.
The group’s message which was signed by the General Coordinator, Sir Austin Nwokolo, said the Governor deserved the award in all it’s ramifications, adding that he has performed beyond expectations. The award ceremony which was at the 18th Leadership Annual Conference and Awards held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, was graced by the deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme and other top government functionaries.
Sir Nwokolo described the award as well-deserved, stressing that the Governor has distinguished himself as a project oriented and most performing governor in the country.
The DELGA Coordinator praised the courage, vision and passion for governance of the Governor, adding that he is touching every nook and cranny of the State.
The former banker stated that Deltans and non Deltans are happy and proud of the governor’s performance and expressed confidence that the recognition would spur him for more developmental strides.
Sir Nwokolo gave the assurance that Delta North Grassroots Assembly would continue to support Deltans, irrespective of their political leanings who are working for the good of the State. He urged other politicians, especially in Delta North to emulate Sheriff and let their good performance campaign for them. Delta North Grassroots Assembly is a non political group made up of prominent individuals from Delta North.
