The Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Innocent Esewezie, on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in the LGA, Hon. Austin Nnabuife, in a move aimed at strengthening internal party cohesion and unity ahead of future political engagements.During the visit, Hon. Esewezie emphasized the importance of unity among party members—both old and new—stating that a united APC is key to overcoming future political challenges and delivering effective governance. He assured party stakeholders that the same capacity, goodwill, and popularity that brought success at the polls is what the new entrants are bringing into the fold to reinforce the strength of the party.”We are not here to divide but to build,” Esewezie noted. “What we are bringing in is tested capacity and widespread popularity. But for us to succeed, we must work together in unity.”He went on to commend the leadership of the party, particularly two-time senator and political stalwart, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, for keeping the APC vibrant and resilient over the years. He reaffirmed his commitment to work in synergy with all party stakeholders to consolidate and expand the party’s influence in Oshimili North and beyond.In his response, the APC LGA Chairman, Hon. Austin Nnabuife, warmly welcomed the Council Boss and expressed appreciation for his sincere collaboration over the past months. He emphasized that there is no distinction between “old” and “new” members in the APC, stressing that “we are all one family with a shared mission.”Hon. Nnabuife also declared the party’s loyalty to the leadership and direction of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.“Where Governor Sheriff Oborevwori stands is where we stand. Our strength lies in our unity, and we must move together as one party, one vision,” he declared.The meeting had in attendance several notable leaders of the APC including:Hon. Tina Okwudili, Delta State APC Woman Leader, Comrade Austin Eloka Ajufo, Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Chief Mike Diayi, Hon. Patrick Mozea, Chief Kizito Ijeh, amongst others.The visit is seen by many as a strategic step toward cementing unity and strengthening the APC structure within Oshimili North as preparations begin in earnest for future electoral battles.
