Warri Wolves Football Club have emerged champions of the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 tournament, defeating Wikki Tourists of Bauchi 3–2 in a pulsating final to secure a return to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The tournament, which featured the top eight teams of the NNL season, was fiercely contested as clubs battled not only for the coveted trophy but also for promotion to Nigeria’s top-flight league. Warri Wolves showed grit, determination, and top-class football throughout the tournament, culminating in their hard-fought victory in the final match.
The Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, was ably represented by the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, who presented the championship trophy and medals to the triumphant Warri Wolves team. He congratulated the players and management for making the state proud and urged them to remain focused as they return to the elite league.

Among the dignitaries present at the grand finale were the Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Innocent Esewezie; the Executive Chairman of Oshimili South LGA, Hon. Chief Kelvin Ezenyili; and several other council chairmen and high-profile spectators who came to witness the thrilling conclusion of the tournament.

Warri Wolves’ return to the NPFL marks a significant milestone in their football journey and brings renewed excitement to fans who have long awaited their club’s comeback to top-tier Nigerian football.
