In line with the SDG’s 16 and M. O. R. E Agenda Of His Excellency,Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori Delta State has officially launched the Delta Peace WAKA Project, a youth-driven initiative aimed at promoting peace, social harmony, and civic engagement across the state. The program, endorsed by the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution and led by Amb Onyedikachi Odogwu seeks to mobilize young people and community stakeholders through community tours, media engagement, workshops, and empowerment programs. Its goal is to foster a culture of unity and constructive dialogue at all levels.
At the launch, Odogwu emphasized the importance of active youth participation in promoting peace. “Our vision is simple: to walk the path of peace across Delta State and beyond, touching lives, inspiring unity, and creating a generation committed to positive change,” he said.
The project aims to drive sustainable peace and development.


The Delta Peace WAKA Project will immediately roll out community walks, media tours, and public sensitization campaigns designed to educate citizens on conflict prevention, social responsibility, and civic participation.
